Default WANTED: Over The Rail Bedliner

I just bought an 03 Dakota Extra Cab SLT...It is a great truck but was used by a contractor, hence a horrible looking bed. Looking for an over the rail bedliner for a extra cab long bed...Doesn't have to be perfect...I live 50 miles south of Chicago and willing to drive a little to buy it....Thanks

I've only ever saw one dakota with a over the rail bedliner so I imagine they wont be too easy to find. Have you considered doing the diy roll on bedliner from hercurliner?

Default Any bedliner is ok.

Yes I thought about the roll on liner, but there are too many small dents in the wheel wells...Any bedliner would be ok above or under the rail... Thanks

Try Craigs-List.
Just found one for a buddy last week
for a hundred bucks. Included; two Tail-lights,
and two Fog-lamps.
It WAS under the rail liner so we did just as described
in the earlier post,.. Used bed-liner roll on stuff from
Dupli color. It also was a work tuck for a company with
the sides of the bed dented and scratched up. We pushed
the dents up from the underside the best we could. sanded
down the scratched up spots and coated the snot out of rails
with the stuff. Used the thickest nap roller brush we could find.
It came out almost perfect. Try it because, your gonna have a hard time
finding the over the top bed-liner. They are out there, (I have one). No,..
you can't have mine! LOL. But I looked a long time for a used one and
never came across it. So, that's what we did.

I have a drop in, over the rail bed liner. Don't know what brand, it just says Dodge in the middle on the front. I went out to tail, drop take a pic and I guess its too cold for the lock on the tonneau to want to open. I didn't know that they were uncommon.

Short of the ole craigslist; once you get a bed liner, the dents knid of disappear...but, if you wanted a beauty queen...whyd you get a contractors truck..lol...just throwin it out there...also, if theyre that bad, the slip-in may trap stuff there or hide any rusting that occurs over the next years you own the truck...
