i am thinking about putting add a leaf on my 01 cc4x4, i cranked my bars and love how high the front is , it just looks like the back is lower now, and i kinda like havn a little rake to it, thought about blocks for the rear but add a leafs sound more beneficial, just wonderin if anyone has any advice or knows which brand to get thanks

well summitracing has a 2 inch and a 3 inch option. it's like between 55/65 bucks I think. I installed the 3 inch one. It's nice, because I have a little more load capacity and as well as a little lift, which is cool. I installed them about 6 months ago I believe. I'm not sure how much it has sagged, but when I first installed it and lowered the truck off the jack, the suspension didn't flex at all...it just stiffly landed on the ground, lol.

I recommend having 2 large C-clamps to tighten down the leaf pack as you're doing it. The new leaves go between the bottom leaf and under the other top 3 leaves. You're going to need new U-Bolts (the summit kits don't come with them). Also you will need a cutoff tool to cut the excess of the center bolt. The center bolt does come with the kits.

Here are the U-Bolts I bought: http://www.autoandtrucksprings.com/p...it-1391-2.html
These are the proper specs, except these are a little longer. You'd probably be okay with 8-1/4" since I cut off about an inch off the U-Bolts after installing them. I just got the longer ones because there wasn't real big price difference. Better safe than sorry, but at least you know.

Pretty easy process. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

I believe the U-Bolts come in sets of 2, so you'd need 2 quantities.

I got this kit: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFY-85350/

auto zone-around $40.00 for helper springs-lifts the rear about an inch or so-helped stiffen the ride on my 2004 and the rear no longer jumps to the next lane when you hit a bump.also doesn't sag when the boat is hitched to it.
