Default Removed my clutch fan- quick question

Fist off, WOW did it make a difference. Not sure if it added (by added, I mean restored what the clutch fan took) but it definately feels like the motor revs easier.

My question is this- now that it's removed, the pulley looks perilously not-attached. I don't think the clutch fan was what held the pulley on, but I just want a little peace of mind. Someone please tell me that they pulley isn't going to come crashing off at 80mph, causing certain death? Thanks!

i just did away with my clutch fan and got a elec and a controller for it. if your fan was anything like mine it was a screw on and the pully is bolted on seperately. how that helps

My truck has a stock e-fan. Works good, I let the truck idle for about 10 minutes, long enough to let the fan kick on and cool the engine.

That does help, thanks alot! I assumed that the pulley was bolted on seperately, just wanted to make sure.

does anyone have a picture of how they mounted the aftermarket fan? the a/c fan looks rather large and i don't see a lot of room for another fan to be placed in there to remove the clutch fan. just want some ideas

Some have bolts to hold on the pulley. Most pulleys are pressed on. When I did my electric fan swap I cut off the giant nut and threaded it back on or reinsurance.
