A/C problems
As a matter of fact the first time I used the air on my dakota a few weeks ago it didn't work. The rubber condensor hose was leaning on the plastic air cleaner and it wore a hole in it over time. The edge of the plastic was a little sharp. I tried to fill the system and the hose started leaking immeadiately. Check these hoses for cuts or cracks. All systems leak...it's the rate of the leak that you have to be concearned with. Yours.....is leaking severely. The good thing it should be easy to find. Go to a supply house and pick up some "big blue " leak detector, it's a spray. Leave the system static (not running) and check for leaks. Read the directions on the spray bottle. Also use an electronic leak detector on the compressor shaft (static). Sometimes the seals leak, usually over the winter. Sometimes they reseal when the oil and refrigerant get circulated around in the system. It swells them up. Hope you find it. Do it yourself, the detecting the leak part....then have it charged if your not certified. You might save yourself some money.
