ok I have these alpine speakers with separate tweeters and I need a place for them in the front I thought maybe near the floor by my feet but a sound guy told me they need to be high so I have no clue where to put them any ideas?

 

On a 99 the factory tweeter is mounted in that flat area of plastic on the door panel just to the right or left side of the door pull area, depending on which door panel you are looking at. That is a very good place for the tweeter mount, especially if the tweeter swivels on its mounting base. When you remove the door panel you may even see where the back of the panel is marked for the placement of the factory tweeter. Using those marks may help you to cut the holes for each tweeter in the same spot on each door, so they match and look symmetrical. If the tweeter has a swivel mount it is good to try to place the tweeter so you can angle and aim it toward the center of the roof.

2nd gen ram had them on the a pillar dont know if that was a place for them on the newer daks but I have saw them mounted on the door panel as well.

 

the 01 has them in the door panel in the triangle piece on the front of the door behind where the outside mirror would mount.

 

I would have put thought of that but with the 99 on the driver side that is where the electric adjustment thing is
