Ok cool thank you for the information and help. I really appreciate it. I went to the local emission center and they tested my gas cap. The gas cap was bad so they gave me a brand new one for free. I'm still debating on replacing my hoses though because one that leads from the solenoid into a hard plastic hose that runs into the firewall is pretty old and deteriorated.
