i have a 98 dakota 4x4 5.2l other day went to fill up truck at the gas station .. i got maybe 2 miles away then the engine just suddenly died ... tried to restart it wouldnt restart ... got the truck back home got the OBD reader listed only 1 code po 433 " Emmissions purge control malfunction" .. you can here the pump turn on ... but not turning over engine .. i have checked everything electronic and fuses on truck all perfect shape .. outta ideas ..... any suggestions ??? thanks

 

check the fuel pressure.

 

whats normal pressure level ?

 

45-50 at startup and idle.

 

ok i forgot the fuel pump has the pump and pressure regulator built in together ... appreciate the advice .. gotta love electronics and vehicles ..
