I'm lookin to make a spare tire rack for my dakota, i've been thinkin of a few ideas but they seem to be too *bulky* to be in the pan for a spare tire rack. I was just going to strap it in with ratchet straps, but it's quite possible It could get stolen...soo,


Any of you guys seen any made, in a neat, nimble kinda design?.

As for my transmission, Where are the inlets/outlets for the cooling tubes on the transmission? I'm going to mount it next to the gas tank as i can't fit it anywhere in the engine compartment. that way the hose lines are short and easy to access! Thanks!!

 

How did your spare end up mounted? I'm considering moving mine as well.
