I actually ran 2/0 AWG to the rear of my truck as an aux site for my portable winch.

So at this point I have the permanent mounted Warn on the front of the truck and my portable winch can be used on the front of the Jeep or rear of the truck (I really didn't see a need to run cables to the rear of the Jeep, but I may some day).

You do lose a little angle of approach with a front receiver and I might opt for a permanent mount if my Jeep were a weekend off-roader, but the Jeep is my daily driver and where it mounts is fine for my uses...

Yeah thats the only bad thing. I liked to option of being able to move it to other vehicles too. I priced out doing a bumper myself I can get all the metal for 150-200.00 from my buddys work. Then I told him I would pay him 200.00 to weld it up for me at work. They have a water jet so cutting everything out would take like 20 min. When ever I decide to shell out 400.00 on my truck ill get it done lol

I just finished adding the middle bar. I got a bolt in bar from a Ford Ranger brushguard and had to cut out about an inch then weld it back together. Man welding stainless is tough with a stick welder and regular 6013 rods(i know they make stainless rods -16s would have been best). It looks way better and i got to use it this past wekend to move a huge tree out of the road. Sorry no video though. BTW i touched up the paint after this paint. It was still wet and a little rough in this pic.

I might as well add a picture of my setup for others if needed.
I have a Smittybilt XRC12 12,000lb winch. On a receiver hitch, I installed a custom front hitch. So the winch can be placed on the rear if needed and used.

Sorry i fixed it
Nice setup and im sure it does the job. Mine wasnt lifted enough to wanna go with the receiver mount. I need a new winch cable as you can see....that was a quick fix and has held for a while now.
