Unhappy Replace caliper pins

I have a 2001 Dakota, I have done the front brakes, rotors and pads several time. This time, one side the calipers just spin, so the treads are stripped. How do you get them out? Then the next step seems to be a M9 x 1.25 Helicoil kit and new caliper pins?

thanks
Joe

I was able to take, of all things, one of those weed pullers with what looks like a small fork on the end and use that to pry as I spun the stripped bolt counter-clockwise to loosen it (like this: http://www.wholesaletip.com/index.ph...oduct_id=46551)...it worked for me...I would think that anything you could get between the head of the pin and the steering knuckle to pry against the head would work...

That is the correct size helicoil I believe. You can also just buy over-sized caliper bolts that will self-tap new threads...

All you need is force away from the knuckle screw driver will work then try to loosen the bolt(while you are trying to separate the caliper from the knuckle) it should catch some threads and come out just fine. That is the right heli coil I had to do my passenger side couple months ago.
