This Sunday I'll be putting in H.O. cams. Since I'll have the VC's off and I have 123,000+ miles I'm going to replace a few other things like springs and valvestem seals. With the springs one set is painted pink. The other set is not. Obviously one set is for intake and one for exhaust. I don't suppose anyone here can tell me which? Appreciate any ideas or thoughts. Thanks.

BTW I'll be painting the VC's too.

Springs...not sure. where did you get them? Can always check the manual...or contact vendor. Thats baseline. Otherwise, would Billy know?

 

i got no idea, i never heard of different springs. ask the manufacture or PM billy.

 

Thanks guys. Yeah I should have just called the manufacturer or in my case a dealer. They said the painted springs were intake springs. I'll have to say the dealer I called has been very helpful. They gave me this answer and they let me trace the cam wedge tool so I could make my own.

Yes I can't wait till I get the cams in. I'll even have to try and post some pics.
