ok so ive been researchn a 5.2-5.9 swap and pretty much have every thing figured for what i have to do. the only thing is with the ecu. i keep hearn that the 5.2 ecu will run a 5.9 but when you try and drive it wont run very well. so will i have to swap a 5.9 ecu in or can i get a sct with a tune for this swap?

 

i would put the 5.9 pcm in it the 5.2 will try to run the 5.9 like a 5.2 because of the parameters that are programed in to it

It will run the 5.9 just fine but you wont be getting the full performance from the 360. Most people temp run them just so they can drive the truck and make sure everything is ok. You can run a 5.2 pcm but dont run it for too long.

 

of so did they make a dak 4x4 with a 5.9? or can i just use any 5.9 ecu out of a 97 dodge.

 

use one from a 5.9 dak i don't think the 4x4 will make a difference since it is a manual shift tcase

 

hay thunder whats seans number? i was lookin on ebay and theres a lot of diff ones. so i wanna make sure what one i need
