Took truck to 2 shops for hard shifting issues.
I'm just wondering what the heck is going on now lol. My truck shifts hard and if i accelerate fast then you don't notice it. I took it to two shops that could easily take my money but they all say it is nothing and the hard shifts are a good thing. The thing is that if i floor it a lot of the time the rpm gauge will red-line and bounce back and forth -truck quits accelerating then everything goes back to normal if i let go of gas and push gas softly. Just wondering what the heck is wrong. Also, when the rpm gauge goes nuts, the fan for the a/c quits blowing air all together till i let go of gas.

wow, a ton of issues.
All at once, I say ECM, computer, whatever. May be variants. Does the engine speed match the tach when it bounces. I would say take it to a trans shop. Sounds like clutches might be going, or a pump intermittant. If the engine maintains a speed, and the tach goes funny, circle back to comp. All the auto guys might be able to tell you the diff sensors that make the truck crappy when they're shot.

sounds like the trans is slipping and not shifting up which is why the rpms are bouncing around until you let off a little and lower the torque on the trans
when you say shifts hard do you hear a metallic sound when it shifts at low speed from first to second
what year and motor of the truck
