Default Removing O2 sensor

Hey guys, easiest way to get to the Pre-cat passengers side O2 sensor.

From above or below or through the fender?

Without taking the engine out.

I did mine from underneath my truck. There is a special socket you can buy at Harbor Freight or any parts store that makes it easier to get the old O2 out. I got this one at HF:

The night before I did my O2's I put my truck up on jack stands and then I sprayed the sensors down with PB Blaster several times that night before I went to bed. Both of my O2's came out easily but I remember putting a wrench on the hex end of the O2 socket to turn it, couldn't get enough room in there to turn it with a ratchet.

Good luck with it.

Well more weird news! Went under the truck and found the plug for the pre-cat O2 gave it a very little tug and it fell out humm, so I plugged it back in until it snapped shut. Cleared the code and took it for a 45 minute drive no codes great.

Started it this morning drove 50 feet and then a code came on P0161 the post cat O2 damm?

If I can not get that code to stay clear can I use the new Pre-Cat O2 in the place of the Post cat, may have to change plugs not sure if there really is a difference between them as I have seen universal O2's for the dakota.

Well some updates I call Bosch and they said that you can interchange them. The different connector colors are for the lead lengths.

Also what idle speed should this run at mine seems to run at about 750-800 which I think might be a little high I can drive around without giving it gas. If so how would I lower the revs? I think I have reset all of the electronics Engine faults and the PCM but I think it should rev in park around 500-600.

Thanks Guys
