I have 2000 qc with a 4.7 that is getting tired with almost 200k i'm thinking about just swapping it for a another 4.7 how can you tell if you have a 16 0r 32 tone spline before you get into the swap and yes i have searched the forums already. also will a 4.7 from a jeep grand cherokee work if i was able to find one. And thanks ahead for the help.

hello, I'm winston, the resident expert on this matter since i just went through a motor swap in my truck. i swapped my 01 dak motor for an 03 jeep ho motor.

the rule is that if it is a jtec pcm (3plugs) it will have a 16t ring. if it has a ngt (4plug) it will be 32.

oh and do not buy your engine from midwest transmission distributors from arizona.
