The 5.9 Heads will work but not the crank. If your going that far to rip out the 5.2 and rebuild then why not drop in a 5.9? They are externally the same and it is just as easy as dropping in the 5.2 back in.

+1 on this. it is actually much more work removing your motor, tearing it ALL the way down to the crankshaft, rebuilding it, and putting it back in the truck than it would be to just drop in a 5.9. much less work
haha well if you count crazy 4x4 then yours then mine i think it works out. and v8 dakota reall man if you want more power the 5.9 swap would be better man by the time you pay for a set of heads and a crank for a 360 you could of almost paid for a whole 360 and just swap it in. only thing thats diff is the 360 is internaly balanced and the 318 isnt. so you will need a 360 hermonic balencer and im sure i just spelled that way wrong and a 360 flywheel. you can get the 5.2 ecu to work with the 5.9 but you will need a costum tune from hemifever. ive talked to him about this swap and he can make it work. hope this helps
