Default 99' engine questions

So i thought i read somewhere that the cams from a jeep cherokee V6 fits my truck, also a V6 and a 99', but is slightly more aggresive. I would like a little more power without raping my gas mileage. I know i know its been posted before but the exaust and K&N helped my mielage a little (like 1-2 MPG, ill take it) so its time to go down .

So is it true and what kind of difference would they make?? Im also open to suggestions for other cam options, just heard this and it seemed like a good idea.

Also heard that putting the intake manifold from the V8 (dont remember what size)with a spacer, also increases power. Is this true??

Thanks

Jeep Cherokee's used the old 2.8L v6 sourced from GM for a while and they were known for blowing up. The later 6-cylinder Cherokees are a 4.0L inline 6, and that cam won't work for your 3.9L v6. The v8 intake manifolds won't work at all because there are 2 more intake runners that wouldn't line up with anything, not to mention the dimensions period. There are parts to be found for the 3.9L though.
