2000k miles away from home all of a sudden it sounds, runs like a old diesel. wierdest **** i have ever experienced. also sounded like the timing chain was slapping against the cover. pulled over and shut it off and started it back up and it was running better. no codes to indicate my motor is toast. oil level presure is fine. wtf is going on.

 

Was it rapping?(like diesel knock) Or was it just a miss that caused it to sound bad?

alright so i called billy, he said it was my tune which was too advanced. returned to stock and its fine. but it sounded like a damn diesel.

 

at least I have an idea of what engine pinging sounds like. I had no idea what people were referring to in the superchips forums. I was gonna say...I think it's the haunted sounds of the old engine echoing in your engine bay.

 

engine pinging sounded so terrible. wow, i hope i never go though that again. go start an old ford diesel farm truck and that was me. people were looking at me like i was crazy.
