My 2000 Dodge Dakota 2xdrive has a broken rear shackle back, I welded it once and it broke again, I am wondering if there are more heavy duty and sturdier ones out there I can replace the broken onne with instead of going with stock. I don't care about lifting it or dropping it, but will do either if it will improve the functionality.

 

Is it the shackle or the mount for the shackle? Your best bet for a new replacement is your local Dodge Dealer or www.dodgeparts.com or www.ebay.com or www.google.com

it is the "shackle back" that is broken. I want to repair/replace the broken one with something better, does that even exist?
