Default Clearing PCM

So I understand to clear the or rather "Reset" the PCM, you disconnect negative off bat and then hold in the start position for 3+ seconds..

So a guy with mopar told me that did nothing.. do not really know.. I know when I do this.. my truck runs the same either way.. even though I'm sure my problem is something other than adjustments..

But I do have a question.. would resetting the PCM in the way ppl on this forum discuss, would that clear any/all changes that lets say a tuner would make to the computer?

i would say yes because it is wiping the memory clear and it will start relearning how the truck runs

if you do the battery disconect trick it will reset the pcm but it wont clear any codes stored in it. you need to use a code reader with a 'clear codes' feature in it.
