Default Replacing door panel

I took the drivers side door panel off to work on the actuator. I got everything hooked up and the panel completely on. But the door handle on the inside wont close back up on its own, i have to maually push the handle back in. When the rod isnt connected it springs back in, just doesnt work when its connected to the rod. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

Make sure your wire harness isn't between the rod and panel causing interference. Then check the rod it should be straight with a little bend at the end.
