i am looking at buying a 2001 quad cab, the owner says it need the transfer case reprogramed, what are the options for this, and how much will it cost me? can i do it myself?

 

i had a transfer case rebuilt and put in a used good TCCM 4 wheel wouldn't work, went to dealer and he hooked up diagnostic and changed one setting and everything was good 2 go, TCCM thought i had a different transfer case, he checked right one, took 5 min.
