Tailgate is solid, license plate isn't loose.

I'm so lost as to what it could be. There really isn't much in the rear of the truck that can rattle.

I've been trying to upload photos but photobucket is being gay...
Bed bolts? I noticed on mine my far rear one is missing even tho there is another bolt a foot from it my bed will rattle on bigger bumps I cant hear it with my windows up.

I think I looked at them before, but it can't hurt to look again... My bed seems like its pretty solid but it only takes one bolt to make a rattle. I'll try and look at them later.

It sucks, my truck is in great shape, but rattles like a bucket of bolts.

The spare tire was one of the first things I ever checked. I had to use the spare once when I destroyed my rims and it still rattled. The tailgate doesn't rattle at all. I think the bed bolts is the most likely scenario right now, but I'm not sure. I'm going to look at it later or maybe tomorrow.

i had a brain fart the first time i read this, there is a tube or a bar that is mounted behind the rear bumper, under the tailgate. i do beleive the only way to get to it is to take the bumper off. it is mounted on rubber mounts, i think it is there to absorb vibrations, idk. my rubber mounts dry rotted and that bar was rattling away on everything back there. take a look at that and keep us posted.

That's just what I was thinking of. Yeah that thing is very well hidden. I just happend to notice it by chance a few years ago when I had my tailgate off.

The bolts that hold my caliper on was stripped out and it made an awful noise until I fixed it. Maybe you could try that.
