Dayum...that sucks man. I am glad you are OK but to lose a cool truck like that is bad news. I hope the at-fault driver had good insurance and you make out OK with how ever this is settled. I would lose my mind if that happened to my truck. Be sure to salvage some parts off of it to put on your next Dakota and keep the R/T alive in spirit...

Bah...I guess assassination is the correct term.
Fortunately, if you want to look into R/Ts again, R/Ts have really gotten cheap. WHen I looked around for R/Ts all over the country on craigslist a few month ago, I found some excellent condition Dakotas. I once saw one just like yours, except it was fully loaded, from the engine, to the suspension, all clean going for 9000 bucks. The mods alone make up for the 3000 - 4000 extra over base price. Otherwise they range from 4500 - 6000. I once found a blue reg cab that was so good I wanted to cry that I couldn't get it. It had like 30k miles on it, garage stored. This guy took pictures of his undercarriage, and even the bolts aren't rusted. Not one bit of rust, but it was bone stock. Makes me wish I am more established to keep a truck in a garage almost all the time.

Bummer, unless a cop was there to see her run the (red) light and ticket her for the infraction, it looks to me you'd be deemed to be "at fault" for the wreck while making a left turn against oncoming traffic. Sucks...
