Default Cold Morning Revving

Hey Guys I just notice that when I started my 2001 4.7 QC 4X4 that the idle would randomly raise and drop when it is very cold out. Once warm there really is not random revving.

Is this the TPS if so why only when the outside temp is like 60 F or 10 C.

Maybe your IAC and throttle body could be dirty. Faulty temp sensor?

My truck does this same thing! I really noticed it after the HO cams went in. I don't know if the HO cams had anything to do with it though. I guess I'll check and clean the IAC this weekend.

Well I had the neg. cable off for hours so I thought that should be sufficient to discharge everything. But thinking about it after the swap I was underwhelmed at first with them. I thought "this is it?!" but the more I drive it the better it gets. I could never go back to stock now. So much more torque with the CAI,TB, HO cams. I guess I figured the cold start rev, drop back down rev a bit higher agian and then settle down was a result of the different cam profile and of course the engine being cold.
