Ok so I had a bad TPS and replaced it. It was working fine for about 400 miles and then the cel came on again and it ran rough so I drove it back to Autozone and they gave me a new one for free. I replaced it and reset the PCM again and the cel went away. Then after like 400 miles it came on again. I drove it for a few days back and forth to work because I didn't have time to go to Autozone for another one. However on the third day after about 60-70 miles the check engine light went away and drove fine again for a while (like 400 miles). This process has repeated itself 3 times now and I'm stumped as to what the problem could be because I can't find anybody else that has the same problem. Thanks for the help

My brother had a Ford truck do that a few years ago. Turned out the computer was actually going bad. He changed the computer and has had no problems since. Just a thought.

 

yeah it went away again today. I thought it might be the PCM but wasn't sure
