Looks like I need to replacemy 02 Dakota right steering knuckle. The threads got screwed. I had a heat pack / Helicoil installed. I think its getting loose.
Anyway, manual states to compress the coil with coil spring compressor dd1278 tool. This doesn't seem to be a loaner tool. I've looked around the net and it seems to go for $180.
My question can a regular spring compressor be used and a floor jack be used to support the lower control arm. What do you guys think?
