Default 2004 Dakota Transmission "shifty"

I have a 2004 Dakota ext cab 4x4 that (since I got it almost 2 years ago) shifts in an odd way. If I press non-aggressively on the accelerator around 35mph will drop low like it is in an early overdrive. To accelerate it takes a long time to reach 55mph unless I press hard enough to drop down a gear or two. So around 35 it shifts up and the rpms drop like they should, then drop even lower like an extra gear, then pickup somewhere around 40 or 45 as if normal, then when I'm truly in OD it drops again and has to be pressed pretty hard to go faster and usually downshifts.

Sorry for the poor explanation, but I can't think of a great way to explain it.

P.s. It doesn't seem like plugs or wires to me. Maybe throttle?

p.s.s I have had the TCM/PCM and valve body replaced because it wouldn't shift from 2nd up due to some safety fault, and they said my TCM was def. bad and the valve body was bad. After TCM replaced still didn't work, replaced valve body and it works like it did prior to the light. code 1776 I believe. Thanks!
