I broke an aluminum probe off in the old evaporator core, not realizing it was there when I pulled it. On a 2001 Dakota QC. Anyone know the name of the part? Where to get it? NAPA didn't know what it was, guessing dealer. I will post pics later, but it was pretty simple, a metal probe shoved into the evaporator core fins.

 

I found the part, it is an evaporator temperature sensor. But I cannot figure out what it actually does.
