My truck either sticks in first gear or just totally skips first. Where do I begin to look? Tomorrow I'm checking transmission fluid. More than likely that won't be it. Then its to the transmission shop. I think it happened when I accidentally shifted in to drive while it was in rolling backwards

 

I shift into drive while rolling backwards just not when going fast. Our 04 grand cherokee had a problem like this it wouldnt use 1st or 2nd. It was a faulty governor pressure sensor while in there we also replaced the governor pressure switch and it was good again felt like it was in 4lo thats how much of a dog it was before lol Anyway it was 230 for our local shop to do it.
