For some time i had a belt tensioner that was faulty on 5.2. Belt was slipping from time to time and a few weeks ago i changed both, the belt and tensioner

The original belt was 97.5 inches long. I bought the new one on rockauto and they also listed 97.5 belt as the correct replacement. guess what? It was just too long, the tensioner maxed out when the AC was turned on and the truck was sitting in reverse with the brakes applied.

I changed the belt for the old one and got the same behavior. So i went to the part store and bought a 97 inches long belt which is working great. The weird thing here is that non of the part stores list a 97 inches belt as a replacement for a 5.2...

What belt lenght does everyone is running on their 5.2 or 5.9?
