The pulley on my air cond. pump is shot. can you replace it or should I just look for a used pump?

A/c clutch can be replaced without replacing the whole compressor

Are you talking about the compressor its bad or the clutch?

Yes an A/C clutch can be replaced without removing the compressor but if the compressor is bad yep its got to be removed and replaced if you dont know how dont do it thier are many thing you need to do when replacing the compressor to the shop it must go. good luck with that.

i would normally just replace the whole unit. it is usually an old compressor with alot of hours on the compressor when the a/c clutch/ pully decide its time to go. so just replace the whole unit and you are good to go for alot more hours. or you might replace the a/c clutch and pully and 6 months down the road still have to replace the pump later. your choice.
