Default 3" Body lift handling like S*it -Please advise !!!

Just finished installing 3" body lift and 265/75R16s on my 04 Dakota quad cab.
I'm getting some body roll with local driving but I hit a rough patch on the highway and the truck was almost uncontrollable. Everything is tight and in place.

I have a Hellwig 7/8" rear sway bar which cured the body roll issue I was having before the lift.

Do I need new shocks now? Are the tires not wide enough to offset the new height? What can I do? Going on a road trip in 2 weeks and I can't drive it like this.

I'm new to this and I'm almost ready to take the blocks out and say forget it.

body lift should have nothing to do with your driving conditions, does not effect any suspension, maybe by chance you might need new shocks but body lifts do not call for longer shocks unless you did anything to suspension like crank the t bars and or put blocks under the rear axle then that effects your ride quality.

Sounds like you need shocks. Ever done them? how many miles?
I lost comfort with mine at 60K...

35K miles. Never did the shocks. Should I bring it back to the guy who mounted the tires and ask him to recheck the balance and alignment?
I'll try replacing the shocks.

a body lift would raise your CG, which would be noticable when turning. But going straight, that shouldn't effect anything. I could see it effect a smidge of braking and accelerating (increasing the moment about the axle in each direction) but that shouldn't be noticeable.

1. alignment
2. steering intermediate shaft
3. shocks

Check the steering shaft coupler and such as i know you had to slide it out and extend it.

Turned out to be a simple problem. The tire shop had my new BFGs cranked to 85psi, which is the tire max (if I were towing a house). I dropped it to 40 (recommended by Dodge) and everything is as it should be.

that's a frightening thing to know. Riding on concrete tires surely couldn't have been comfortable!
