Default 4.7 Head Gaskets or Long Block

Hey Guys, First time post. I have a 02 QC Dakota 4.7 with 108,000 miles. Its lost the head gasket again. My question is what would be best for longevity? Get rebuilt heads or do a long block?

my guess would be in the heads were they machined last time u did head gaskets if not that could be your problem right there

Yea...The shop said they had to take a lot off each, they were pretty bad. I doubt I could have them done again.

well when you replaced them last time you had them machined when replacing the head gaskets and they blew out again how old is the torque wrench you used to torque them could it not be calibrated right and you didnt get them torqued right and if thats so i would go for a long block cause the heads are not cheap by any means and according to dodge there non machinable but theres people that still do with no issues
