Default 4.7L, Hard Start & Slight Tap When Cold, Stall at Idle

Hello. new to forum and to Dodge as well. I have 02 Quad Cab SLT, 4.7, 128K Miles. Bought it in Feb 2011. No problems until recently (30-45 Days), I have had the following problems: The starter has to work a little harder during 1st "cold" crank start when it has been sitting for a couple of hours/overnight to go cold. It has no problem during restart (short crank), say if I run into store and return. Also, I have noticed a slight tap for the first 2 minutes until warm up. It will also stall at a light, however will not stall if I run the A/C to keep idol about 700 or so.
I have done some initials Here it is
1. Burns No Oil, Oil Pressure remains within range on dummy gauge.
2. PCM shows no Codes when I run with Snap On Code Tester.
3. Replaced IAC, Spark Plugs, Air Filter.
4. Run Kendall 5W30 Synthetic Blend. (Oil changes done at Firestone, too lazy for $25)

Any help is appreciated, and please let me know any questions.

didn't think anybody used Kendall anymore.

Sounds like you picked up a fairly sound truck. I'm not an expert by any means on the OHC engines, but if it's dragging on first cold start, have you checked the battery? Might be going dead and just living off the surface charge of when the alternator is running. My battery died overnight because it was living off the alternator and I never noticed.

I know the "old school" (3.9 5.2, 5.9) engine can get lifter tap when cold, not sure about the 4.7, i remember some remarks from the Hemi (similar design as the 4.7) having the tap as well.

I think I might pop that battery out and have it tested, and if any problems just replace it. I am afraid that the starting probably might be related to a valve or lifter, and that is what I am leaning towards. Also considering a bad fuel filter or pump, but thats down the road. Thanks for the input

what's the date on the sticker, and what brand battery is it?

is it spinning over fast without fire, or dragging over slow until the ignition catches up and catches fire?

Interstate Battery is 05/09 so its not old. It spins over fast until fire. I still didn't get the batttery tested yet.
