Default New Exhaust Manifold Smell

after months of putting it off I replaced the passenger side exhaust manifold last weekend. Drilled/tapped broken bolts etc. There was no gasket on the factory manifold but I felt the need to install a gasket with the new manifold. The job went well, the LOUD engine noise is gone, the burnt #2 sparkplug wire is no longer a problem, etc. When I start the engine and the manifold gets hot it smells. I assume this is normal but how long might it last?

Thanks in advance!

Mark

I think mine lasted about a week and a bit. All based on how long you operate the truck for before shutting it off, and what duty cycle and egt temps you see.
