My Dakota smells rich what O2 would cause this upper or lower O2 I’m not showing any codes but I’m telling you its rich my 2.5L engine has only two O2 an upper and a lower O2.

I’m guessing the lower O2 is the culprit I don’t know if any of the O2 have been changed I know I have not done so but I had a new cat and muff installed back 4 years ago so they may have replaced the lower one next to the cat.

Oh and my Dakota is 12 years old......... 9/11

My guess would also be the lower because after the cat it should be picking up the excess amount off fuel in the exhaust stream

its going to be no matter what since its not wamred up and the pcm dumps more fuel in than it needs. unless its smells like your sniffing straight gasoline.
