puddle on front passenger floor under floor mat
I bought this Dakota just about 2 months ago, and i absolutely love it. I have had an issue with there being a constant puddle on the floor of the passenger side, where your feet go. Luckily i have a floor mat there. My mechanic told me it was most like from the ac, that maybe the line was blocked, he said it was definately not coolant. He blew out the line, but there is still a puddle forming, I use the wet/dry vac, works for about a day or so, but the puddle comes right back.. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be?
From my experience dealing with this problem is one of two possibility’s one your dash was removed to work on the Air and never reinstalled properly so it leaks two you do have a blockage at the drain you could try vacuuming the drain out that may work go to this post it will show the drain line coming into the engine bay. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen-dakota/293005-a-c-evaporator-leaking-inside-cab.html
If you can get a vacuum down there and suck on that drip line it just may unclog it and start draining outside not on your floor.
A note if you blow air into this line it just pushes the blokage back inside but it will continue to clog again and again you must suck it out not push it back in.
If that dosnt work you could drill a few holes on the cab floor so it drains out but remember water can now get in by those same holes you just drilled but it will drain out now.

As the other post states if you are missing that drain elbow the water it can get pushed back into the cab my truck came with an elbow from the dealer but disappeared when my A/C was worked on they never reinstalled it. When I was at the dealer having some work done I asked them to install one and they did.
You could make one by just getting the correct size tubing and make it long so it drops down and makes its own elbow about one foot should do and as long as it doesn’t touch your exhaust it shouldn’t get in the way.

Get a 5/8 elbow and cut off the ribbed part. Put some silicone around it and stick it in there. It is really hard to get to if you have big arms. It is right behind/below the auto tranny fill tube. There is a heat shield that you make have to pry back on to see it(i did). You can get to it by going through the passenger side engine compartment and snake your arm behind the AC condensor and down behind the engine block. Make sure that the engine is cooled off before you attempt as it will burn.
You guys are so helpful! Thank you.. I am not sure if i am going to go to the dealer and see if they have the part, then get my mechanic to do it for me, or just go to the store and buy an ebow piece. I will let you guys know how it turns out!!
Finally got time to look under my hood. Found the hole in the firewall that I believe you are talking, my question is if I buy the elbow pipe on my own, how do i make sure it stays in place and what would I seal it with? And is it easier to get to from under the truck, or under the hood...
Also can anyone recommend a nice looking Chrome exhaust tip?

Easier for me to get to it from under the hood. Read my description above on how to reach it best and put some silicone on the elbow before snaking it back there to put it in. You have to cut the ribbed part of the elbow off.
