Ok, here goes, its winter time here in Wa again, my truck apparently does not like the cold, I can crank it up, and let it run for a few minutes, then once i shift to "d" the engine will die, i still have electrical just no engine. What can be causing this, just had an oil change, did the antifreeze in sept before it got cold, new spark plugs, ignition rotor, and wires, and dis cap. Help me please, dont want to have to spend too much to get it fixed, its an 01 qc with 105700 miles on it...

oh and my a/c wants to start squealing when it gets cold too

 

hmmm, does it do that when you shift it into any gear? reverse? 1? neutral?

might be a throttle position sensor, loose vacuum line, IAC, it could even be loose or bad battery connections or possibly a dying alternator.

wouldnt hurt to check for codes and clean up the throttle body too.

will the engine stay running in you shift into gear and have a light foot on the gas?

 

it doesnt die when i shift, but after i shift, when i start to step on the gas, btw its an automatic, battery was tightened down- it aint moving, and no codes pop up- yet- ill have to check alternator, and lines, where is the throttle position sensor

 

Throttle position sensor is on the driver side on the throttle body the Iac is in the rear.
