Default Driving on Dead Cylinder?

I'm almost ready to commit to purchasing BadPrin. truck. My only problem is that I live quite a ways a way. The thing stopping me is me wondering if I can make it home. From What I have understood from her is that is has a damaged piston/wrist pin and marked cylinder wall from an injector failure but runs and drives. my question is that could I Drive a good distance on this engine without a huge risk of blowing the whole engine somewhere in montana.
Thanks guys/gals

If I can get it safetly to my house rebuild engine with parts from my old engine and go from there. Possibly selling it or keeping it for myself/family
