If you were to do the work yourself. I think I spent about 4 - 5 grand on the first setup. (44, 9 combo) That's including rims tires axles steering steel all that crap.

It's a huge learning curve next year were re-doing my dad's BII it's already got a sas and 44 , 9. He's getting tons and 40's next

Got your p.m. not a problem at all. It's currently sitting at the local high school they are gonna hopefully fix my rim issues. 17" rims suck at holding the inner bead on so far I've welded in another piece of steel to hold the inner bead on and they are still leaking next a massive amount of bead sealer... We'll see I may have a set of 17" beadlocks for sale soon.

Sick truck! Unless I missed it, What size tires you running? What gear ratio you got? How is the front placed shackle working out for you?

With the leaf spring setup I was running 38's with 4:88 gears. The front shackle thing sucked donkey ***** bent 3 sets of leaf springs.

Now I'm running 43's with 5:38 gears and 3 link front. 4 link rear

Awesome job man. It's sweet seeing you do all of that. A lot of people say they're going to do this and going to do that but you didn't say anything you just did it and I give you a lot of credit for that. That things is sweet now.

The places I wheel I needed it a lot lower just too top heavy Canada gets pretty crazy and it's a long way down the mountain if you flop. Putting the shackle in the back just wouldn't work with the 2nd gen dakota frame it's too wide to outboard the shackles. So the shackle had to go up front to keep it as low as I could. I'll be cutting the truck up again soon I want more travel outta the rear and to do that I need to lower the entire rig more.
