Question Any suggestions on preventative replacement parts

My Dakota has 220,000 mile and still is driving great but I would like to replace things that might go sensors or stuff like that. Is there any suggestions on thing I can replace now before they go to avoid issues.

There has been a lot of talk on this site about the Map Sensor being replaced. I changed mine out last week the day before I went on a short 350 mile road trip. I also ran a can of Sea Foam through my first tank. I did not check my fuel mileage but I did notice a significant change in the responsiveness of the throttle. It gets out of the hole quicker and I ran 80+mph on the way home and the tranny never did kick down looking for another gear when going up hills. I bought the Borg Warner from O'Reilly's instead of their brand. The Map Sensor and Sea Foam ran just at $90.00 combined. Also. my truck is a 2003 with the 3.9 and 178,000 miles on the clock.

I just read your signature and I see you are from Palm Beach. I lived there for 24 years before moving back to Missouri 2 years ago. I lost my job in West Palm beach and decided to get back to the seasons and love it.

Yes the job market here and unemployment is bad. I kinda lucked out and found a great goverment contractor job in my degree. I do miss the spring/fall but not the long winter. I am from PA and could do with out the months of sub zero temps.
