Question p0743 and output speed sensor problems

got myself a 1997 dodge dakota and recently the output speed sensor got ripped out cause of a bush hooked on the wires.

we replaced the speed sensor but now we get a speed sensor circuit malfunction and we cant seem to pinpoint what is wrong with it. we tried pushing in the wires some more. and erased the code. now we're getting the torque convertor problem. as it stands i cannot find any info regarding how to fix this problem.

anything would be helpful. if you require more information regarding the problems i'll be glad to tell you whatever necessary.

also any info on about how to keep the output speed sensor circuit malfunction from continuing would also help.
