well i did my plugs an tensioner pulley as well as idler pulley and an disconnected the battery because i dropped a bolt behind it. i did not program my truck back to stock settings but ever since i did all this my truck is idling in park at 2k-2.3k rpms which is rediculous... and when i put it in drive it pushes me at 1k and i have to stand on the brake to stop... i am about to give up an take it to a garage.. i returned the settings to stock from my superchips because my friend that is a mechanic told me since i un hooked battery the ecm reset itself but it still had the tuner so its messeded up and will take awhile to reset itself to normal well i been driving it for three days and it has not gotten any better... i am about to disconnect the battery and try to see if that works but idk what else to do. what can i do? any ideas what my problem is.
called my friend at the dodge dealership he said disconnect the battery for 30 mins then touch both terminals together for 10 seconds and reconnect battery when i start it give it gas an slowly let off.. i hope this works
I know ive had weird problems with my truck after messing with the battery. If the terminals are all a bit loose or not cleaned really well the truck will throw a fit. Check to make sure your throttle linkage is returning the whole way.
230 bucks later i have my baby back, it was the iac motor
IAC motor??????? DO you mean the IAC valve on the back of the throttle body. 230.00? its a 36.99 part and take 30 sec to put on. Sorry you didnt get back to me that was the next thing I would have told you to check. Mark this one up to the devil mechanics at your local dealer/shop
nvm i saw it from a different view well one through dodge is 130 bucks. it doesnt matter cause i had no way in telling that it was bad. no codes were thrown or i would have done it myself.
