Question Can you take fan clutch and fan off

I have read some post about people just completely taking off the fan and fan clutch and just having the stock electric fan on the radiator. I live in south Florida and that worries me a bit. Is this possible does it work with no issues? The reason I am asking is I think my fan clutch is shot and needs to be replaced

Yes. Like I told you in your previous thread, as long as you dont get stuck in stand still traffic for long periods of time you should be just fine. Again, I have mine in my car still just in case I need it. I lve in Omaha and we get weather in the 100s easily in the summer and I have never had a problem.

since you in in WPB, Florida is rough on cooling systems. Unless you do all interstate and never do stop & go, it's risky unless you upgrade to a higher cfm fan. I had to install an aftermarket cooling fan for my 1995 Grand Cherokee because running the A/C while driving around in Orlando/Apopka/Altamonte Springs, ran it up to 210 even as high as 215. Now, I can run the A/C all day with that fan and the gauge never goes above 180.

This is what I'll be doing.. but I'm going with a different controller i can fine tune and adjust. And back to a 192 T-Stat once i have it. 180 burns too much fuel and has lack of power on my truck.

i still have not really got the question answered about the electric fan. Is there someone out there that can tell what exactly what fan to buy with a link to where to buy it. And keep in mind that my dakota has the fan shroud and it is staying on

i live in florida near clearwater and i have the 4.7 quad cab. i have not had any problems with cooling since i removed the manual fan and only use the stock electric fan. needle on temp gauge stays strait up and down and if memory serves me correct that is 210 degrees. thats stop and go traffic too. and i tow a good bit of weight
