Default rear bumper plastics

Hi Dak fans,

I am getting some surface rust on the top of my flat black bumper and the paint is thinning. Is there a way to remove the top plastic so I sand, epoxy primer and top coat > I plan on removing bumper first. Just want to know what I'm looking at.

There is 1 metal clip on the inside towards the sides of the cover...remove those first. Everything else is pretty much just plastic clip things that are attached to the cover. Squeeze the ends from the inside and push out. Pretty much it.

Yup I did this, use an accessories specific paint sold at any auto store for the Plastics. Also don't go easy on coats. If you don't wanna remove the bumper then put a picnic cloth over the tail gait. I have a thread on here about it somewhere
