Default 3.9L to 5.9L engine swap PCM question

Hello all. I'm looking to swap a 5.9L in place of the 3.9L in my 2002 Dodge Dakota automatic 2wd. I'm using the stock trans with this swap. I was wondering what PCM's would work for this vehicle when doing this swap. I wasn't sure if an auto 2wd Ram PCM would work from the 2002 model year? Do I need one specific to the 2002 m/y Dakota with the 5.9L? Thanks.

Do yourself a favor and get a 5,9 Computer out of YOUR YEAR (2002) truck. I did this swap before and went through 4 different PCMs before getting it to work. -$400+ ouch

would the PCM out of a 2002 Durango with the 5.9L work for this swap or does it have to be from a Dakota? Thanks again.

It might work, but I personally wouldnt but it unless you could try it first.

Check www.car-part.com

Its a database of scrap yards you should be able to get exactly what you need
