Default What Axles?

What axles came in the 98/99 dakota 4wd's? I'm putting everything together, and i plan on running 35 in tires so i wanna put lower gears in it. but i need to know what axles they are(are they dana 44's?). Also how much strain would this put on the trans and axleshafts? I'm thinking of getting a B&M hitek trans cooler. any info you could give me would be great.

does a chrysler 8-1/4" sound right? I was just onprecisiongear.com and it listed it for 82+ dak's. I hope its not smaller than 8-1/4".

I think it depends on the engine. rear for 4banger, 6's, and perhaps some of the 8's is the 8.25, I think the 8's got a 9.25 though. Up front I believe is a d44.
