Coolant Temperature Sensor
Can anyone point out where this is located on a 3.9 please...
I went ahead and pulled out what I thought was it, on the left side of the manifold - I have a feeling I pulled out the oil temperature sensor/sending unit.
Didn't damage it at all or anything I'm just thinking I'm mixed up here because the replacement sensor I have is like half of the size of the one I pulled out.
Thanks

Alright I was right hahaha, it just confused me because the replacement parts I picked up are so different.

These were the 2 coolant temperature sensors available... LEFT: V8 RIGHT: V6

Connections. LEFT: V8 RIGHT: V6

What I pulled out of the truck. RIGHT
I decided to buy the V8 one thinking Canadian Tire's system was wrong since it seemed like the right size. The connection was the right size and the overall length was the same, but the thread was too big. They both use a 3/4 wrench.
Could I have just been unlucky and shouldn't have gone with Canadian Tire?
I'm going to return the V8 Sensor tomorrow, I think the V6 one looks too small.
Thanks!
