HIDs
just got my hids 6000k in the mail. they look like about half a nightmare to install it was about 430 when i finally got home today. I think ill attempt to put them in tomorrow (3 hour job with my luck). I love how vague the instructions are, gotta love stuff from china. Any of you guys who installed hids, any advice?
Im assuming you got a set of fog light ones. If you did I hope they are 35watt not 55watt like the headlights. When they are all bundled together it looks harder than it really is. Cant wait to see them done
My HIDs were just plug and play, It only took me maybe 45 minutes. Just try to keep your ballast in a place where they are more protected from the elements. Good Luck! You will LOVE how bright they are compared to the stockers.
yup the fogs are 35w and this wasnt no 45 minute job. just for the headlights took me a good hour and a half not to mention its snowing out and i have no garage to work in. ill have to wait a few days for the fogs the relay for it looks about half confusing
My fogs Just plug into the stock harness I didnt use any relay or anything. Then my ballast is mounted beside my headlight ballast on the fender and the wire runs down the hole in my fender down behind my bumper then to my fog light. For me the longest part was deciding where I wanted to mount the ballast. It was simple installation though for me anyway.

Yeah me too, Maybe after taking off my headlights at least a dozen times I've learned a few tricks?
only issue now is that for my fogs to work i have to push the fog button on and off and i flick my beams back to low. other issue is that on my driver side the light will flickor off. i have to then jiggle some wires around to get it to come back on, so i dunno what to do about that one.

well got the hids up and running after having to rewire some of the relay harness for the fogs and after buying a new battery since it died. i had returned the old core to autozone the next day and hes like dude thing is gonna explode!
so here is some nice pictures which do not do the 6000k hids justice! they are probably 3x further and brighter then my old silverstar ultras. only thing is i had driven home from work last night and my plug was switched backwards on the harness to where i was running high beams with fogs which was the greatest feeling ever, i could see everything! anyone know how to jump it so that fogs do not trip off with high beams?

new battery which is the right size compared to the old one

where i have the 55w ballasts mounted at

where the 35w ballasts for the fogs are at on the driver side i got the ballasts behind the headlight somehow other one on passenger is in with some good ole zip ties!

over all i really like them. other then that installation would have been a lot easier with decent instructions instead of a schematic that didn't even match up to the harness i had >.> not to mention the fact that there must be no quality control in china ill probably be getting lead poisoning lmao. big thanks out to dodgeramguy85 for the help that was given to me.
just thought id post my experiance with you guys
next project is my 2 inch lift kit that came in the mail, with re indexed torsion keys and 2in blocks. 33s here i come!
